Welcome to the USS Delphinus!

The explosion on Praxis shook the quadrant, creating ripples of change throughout the Federation and Klingon Empires. Weeks later, at the signing of the Khitomer Accords, a new ripple was sent forth. More than fifty years of war and animosity have come to abrupt end.

But can two major powers learn to work together? Trust each other? Defend each other?

Though it bore the flag of peace, the Federation carries its own doubts. Even now as it prepares to overhaul its fleet in the most uncertain of times, all known Constellation-class ships are summoned to the front lines to show everyone that the Federation has a new face to accompany the new day. One such ship, the USS Delphinus, a five-year old vessel, sees a personnel change within itself. Most of the senior staff was comprised of seasoned officers, all of whom elected to resign and enjoy retirement than try to define the vague terms of the Accords. The ship's first officer, an experienced helmsman, is promoted by Starfleet to take command of the Delphinus and assemble a crew.

The USS Delphinus, freshly returned to the Klingon/Federation border with an inexperienced crew, responds to a distress call just outside the neutral zone. The call is found to originate from a Federation colony ship that laid roots on the planet shortly before the Four Years War. The Delphinus arrives to find the planet is succumbing to a strong ionization force, making life difficult on the planet surface.

As the storm is studied and decisions loom on what to do with the colony, the ionization reveals a long secret Klingon listening post on the opposite hemisphere. Though long removed from the drums of war, the lives of this small group of Klingons have become just as intertwined with the Federation Colonists, leaving the first real test of the Khitomer Accords in the hands of a crew unfamiliar with each other.

The site is still up and running, and it's set up to feed off of the same database, so you will be able to get in and tag/post. Just please try not to upload for 24 hours unless you're willing to risk that flashy new character avatar disappearing...

Mission: A Storm Is Brewing
Posted on Fri Aug 4th, 2017 @ 3:16am by Lieutenant Jude Ste. Marie & Captain Philip Lovell

What a fine mess they'd gotten themselves into. Captured by Klingons and being held in some God-forsaken cave, unable to contact their ship. Jude was tempted to take them on in hand to hand combat, but he was sure they'd just kill him.

"Well, this is a mess," he muttered…
